Racial Equity Scholarship

Pocket Prep believes everyone deserves the chance to build the career they're working toward. The Racial Equity Scholarship helps make certification more accessible for people from minoritized communities historically underrepresented in their field.
We cover the cost of getting certified and provide $1,500 to help cover expenses so that finances are one less barrier standing between you and your goal.

Eligibility
We're looking for applicants who are ready to take the next step in their certification journey and reflect the communities we built this scholarship to support. To apply, you'll need to meet all of the following:
🫱🏽🫲🏿 Community:
You belong to a community that's historically underrepresented in the field you're pursuing certification in
🏠 Residency:
You're a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or Permanent Resident
🎂 Age:
You're 18 years of age or older
🏆 Certification:
You're pursuing a certification that Pocket Prep offers test prep for.
⚭ Commitment:
You can show a demonstrated commitment to your exam's field of study
🕒 Timing:
You'll sit for your exam between January 1, 2027 and December 31, 2027

What does the Application look like?
You'll answer two short essay questions, submitted either in writing or as an audio recording, whichever format lets you tell your story best.
Who reviews applications?
Every application is read by a real person on our team, not an algorithm. We're looking for genuine, personal stories about your journey toward certification, not just checking boxes.
When will I hear back?
